I just managed to get hold of some copies of this 17 year old Gem! - a Catalogue of self-published
autonomous print creations from the hands-on exhibition
of zines, comics, pamphlets
self-produced print at the 121 Centre, Brixton.
Organised by Jason Skeet & Mark Pawson, we also
wrote, laid out and
catalogue ourselves! Reviews 250 titles, plus short essays looking at
self-publishing as well as placing this activity in a wider context; Autonomy,
desk-top-publishing, Cultural Noise, Appropriate Scale Publishing, Price No
Objects, Postal Pleasure, Refusing regularity,
A Zinester Rants, The Free
Information Network, E-zines
and computer bulletin boards, Autobio
Comix, and a
Non-exhaustive resources section. The COUNTER
INTELLIGENCE exhibition was also showns
at Gavin Brown's enterprise in New York and included
in Hans-Ulrich Obrist's 1996 live-life/life-live project.

a printers intending to use them in book
projects. Seven years later most
of it is sitting unused on a shelf taking up space and gathering
I felt it was time to do something useful with it. This deluxe version features theft,
and rolls of used ten pound notes!! (sort of...)

involved book production at KNUST, on both the old, hand-cranked stencil printers and their
new digital printer.
14 pgs + a hidden page, ingeniously bound without glue/staples/thread.

well I printed all the covers in beautiful silver ink on black card a few years ago...

I've collected another 150 new/different symbols, and a new expanded version
is very slowly being prepared!

made at Community Copyart
1992. I covered the entire wall and ceiling area with 1600 A3 black & white
The copies were removed afterwards and bound into this edition of 75 books.

Random multiple overprints in black, red and blue onto unused billboard poster paper.
An intense visual barrage of overlaid images, textures and graphics-you can literally
feel the build-up of photocopier toner.
When I make these books, I have a pile of paper,
and a stack of black and white
collage originals and just keep putting the paper through
the photocopier over and
over again, overprinting until the depth and build-up of imagery

FLOOR AT 34
1988 When I lived at 34 Cotesbach Road, I used sheets of billboard posters
( also used for
MaPk nABCoH ) as a floorcovering, the tough paper wore
through at points and picked
up the wood grain from the floorboards below,
when I moved house I used the paper to
made an edition of 34 books, which
were given to people who had visited or stayed at
the house and contributed
to the books by walking on the floor !
